Disappointed with the results of the vote, Kamala will not give a speech tonight
The counting of votes for the US presidential election is underway and the tension is increasing with every passing moment. The gap between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is gradually increasing. At the moment, Trump's chances of winning are quite bright, as he is ahead in most swing states and also retains a majority in the Senate. In this situation, Kamala Harris has decided not to give a pre-scheduled speech to her supporters tonight.
The British media outlet BBC reported that a senior member of Kamala's campaign announced the decision. He said, "Kamala Harris will not be speaking tonight." Democratic supporters began to move away from Kamala's office after this announcement. The results of the vote were being shown on a big screen, and at that time the news of Trump's primary victory in the swing states was revealed.
Immediately after this, Kamala's campaign announced that she would withdraw her speech.
Another BBC report said that Trump is ahead in five of the seven important swing states, and Kamala Harris is ahead in one. The results of one state have not yet been announced.
There are a total of 88 electoral votes in the swing states in this year's election, of which the highest number is 19 in Pennsylvania.
Among the remaining states, there are 10 in Wisconsin, 10 in Michigan, 16 in Georgia, 16 in North Carolina, 6 in Nevada and 11 in Arizona.
With 88 percent of the vote counted in Georgia, Trump is leading with 51 percent. Kamala has 48.2 percent. In North Carolina, with 86 percent of the vote counted, Trump has 50.7 percent and Kamala has 47.9 percent. Arizona is currently a close race, with Trump at 49.6 percent and Kamala at 49.5 percent.
With 62 percent of the votes counted in Wisconsin, Trump is leading with 50.2 percent of the vote, while Kamala Harris has 48.2 percent.
The BBC report also said that Kamala Harris has a lead in only one swing state, Michigan. With 32 percent of the votes counted, Kamala has 50.8 percent of the vote, while Trump has 47.4 percent. The results from Nevada are yet to be announced, and everyone is watching.
