With just 15 days left until Election Day, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are focusing on key battleground states that could decide the outcome of the race for the White House.

Trump is holding a rally in Greenville, North Carolina, and will also meet with faith leaders near Charlotte. He plans to tour hurricane damage in Asheville, a region impacted by Hurricane Helene. Meanwhile, Harris is traveling across three states—Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin—alongside former Rep. Liz Cheney, with stops in key suburban counties.

Both the Republican and Democratic candidates are laying out their strategies on critical issues like the economy and immigration as they try to sway voters in these pivotal states ahead of November.

On a recent appearance on ABC’s “The View,” Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz defended his history of misstatements, while also calling Trump a "pathological liar." Walz attributed his occasional inaccuracies to speaking candidly, contrasting it with Trump's deliberate misinformation.

During an interview on the "SmartLess" podcast, Walz endorsed Harris's intention to appoint a Republican to her Cabinet if elected, suggesting figures like former Sen. Jeff Flake and Sen. James Lankford as potential nominees.

In other news, the Supreme Court rejected Michael Cohen’s attempt to sue Trump for being sent back to prison in 2020, a move Cohen claimed was retaliation for writing a tell-all book about his former boss. Although Cohen was released after a judge ruled in his favor, his lawsuit seeking damages was dismissed based on prior Supreme Court rulings.

Additionally, CBS’ "60 Minutes" denied claims that it deceptively edited an interview with Harris, stating that a longer portion of her response was used for another program, “Face the Nation,” to provide more context. Trump declined an interview with the program before Election Day.

As the race tightens, a USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll shows Harris with 45% support and Trump close behind at 44%. Trump's outreach to Latino and Black voters appears to have gained traction, causing concern in the Harris campaign, which is now focusing on shoring up support from key demographic groups. Meanwhile, both campaigns are preparing for a potentially delayed vote count, as some swing states cannot begin processing absentee ballots until Election Day.
